Below outlines a sample of the projects completed by ADK in 2007

 

Contract: 2007/0034/T

Scope: Construct cable tray assemblies supported to the underside of the Kamerunga Bridge, Cairns QLD to support 150mm electrical and 50mm communication conduits for a length of 300 metres.

Technical Speciality:

  • Locate existing reinforcement to avoid when drilling the cavities for support rods and bracket s to be installed.

  • Determine exact measurements to customise galvanised steel pipe to cover the electrical ducts at either end of the bridge

  • Operate elevated work platforms to install cable trays, conduits and all hanging brackets.

Conclusion:

  • To be completed for December 2007.

 

Contract: Yorke Island Sewerage Treatment Plant

Scope: Directional drill 200 metres in total with a combination of 50 metres beach front and 150 metres of ocean to install a 110mm ocean outfall pipeline at Yorke Island QLD, with aother associated drill operations on the island.

Technical Speciality:

  • Locate head of drill to maintain the product on grade and push out at the required location

  • Relocate all plant to the outer edge of the island

  • Break the head of under ten metres of water and attach the reamer and pipe for pullback

  • Drill under local airport in constant operation to return 110mm and 63mm poly pipe

Conclusion:

  • Total success

  • Item was at a depth 300mm deeper than required but acceptable for the product.

 

Contract: Contract Number 46283 – Rockhampton City Council Overhead & Underground Optic Fibre Installation

Scope: Install underground and overhead optic fibre in residential areas a distance of 15 kilometres.

Technical Speciality:

  • Install 63mm communication conduits by directional drill under roadways.

  • Assemble overhead supports and haul optic fibre suspended on power lines to specified tension.

  • Haul underground optic fibre to specified tension.

  • Install concrete pits in new locations and over existing services

Conclusion:

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints

  • Construction progress satisfied all client quality, WH&S and environmental requirements.

 

Contract: Redlynch Grove Streetlight Installation

Client: CMC

Scope: Install 7 x 12 metre slip base assembly streetlights for the council road entry to a new subdivision

Technical Speciality:

  • Coordinate and assemble all components for the erection of seven 12 metre high streetlights.

  • Establish temporary footpath for pedestrian safety.

  • Coordinate internal traffic management plan and management.

 

Contract: Cairns City Council Overhead & Underground Optic Fibre Installation

Client: Ergon Energy

Scope: Install underground and overhead optic fibre in two locations for QLD Health Services.

Technical Speciality:

  • Install 63mm Communication conduits by directional drill under footpaths in the Cairns CBD.

  • Secure optic fibre to pre-cast concrete sub floor.

  • Install pits in new locations and over existing services.

Conclusion:

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints

  • Construction progress satisfied all client quality, WH&S and environmental requirements.

 

Contract: Kamerunga Substation Upgrade

Client: Ergon Energy

Scope: Excavation to exact alignment & depth according to construction plans to install 9 x 110mm electrical conduit and fill with thermal conductive materials inside a substation.

Technical Speciality:

  • Install 9 x 110mm conduits in a trench 1800mm by 1500mm filled with thermal conductive fill.

Conclusion:

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints

  • Construction progress satisfied all client quality, WH&S and environmental requirements.

 

Contract: Mackay City Council Underbore to Upgrade Local Services

Scope: Install 400mm steel envelope under roadways and railways at 3 locations for 25 metres each.

Technical Speciality:

  • ADK was engaged as all other drill operators stated it was too high a risk due to the congestion of all existing services

  • Locate all underground services and determine appropriate depth for pullback.

  • Work within QLD rail parameters

Conclusion:

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints

  • Construction progress satisfied all client quality, WH&S and environmental requirements.

 

Contract: Hydrovac Locations – Hedley’s Plumbing Electrical Network Location

Scope: Expose an area 3 meters wide and 60 metres long to a depth of 800mm by Hydrovac Excavations.

Technical Speciality:

  • Support all existing conduits to maintain the configuration

  • Expose one bay of conduits housing 8 HV lines feeding into a substation 200 metres away, another bay of 4 HV and 2 LV electrical ducts for general supply and 16 Telstra lines in two separate bundles

  • Utilise the 8000 litre tank with an operation time of 8 hours without dumping

  • Lift the conduits to install a sewer line underneath

Conclusion:

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints

  • Major excavations complete overcoming all complications to satisfy the client.

 

Contract: Sugar World Subdivisions Stage 10 to 19

Scope: Install electrical, communication, water and subsoils within new subdivision

Technical Speciality:

  • Coordinate operations to flow with other contracted parties

  • Attend regular safety meetings to establish common goals for all contracted parties

  • Pressure test all water reticulations to satisfy necessary inspection reports

Conclusion:

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints

  • Construction progress satisfied required timeframes resulting in no loss of time for the client.

 

Contract: Atherton Electrical Head Works

Scope: Excavation to exact alignment & depth according to construction plans to install 4 x 150mm electrical conduit and 1 x 50mm communication conduits.

Technical Speciality:

  • Install a bundle of 10 conduits by directional drill under roadways for 50 metres.

  • Trench to install conduits in close proximity to existing water main.

Conclusion:

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints

  • Construction progress satisfied all client quality, WH&S and environmental requirements.

 

Contract: Electrical Jointing Bay Construction

Scope: Excavate & Construction 5x12 metres long and 1900mm wide joint bays to house 132kV Electrical Cable Joints.

Technical Speciality:

  • 1st operation of its type in Queensland

  • Dewater site to allow stable base pouring qualities

  • Measure and construct all boxing and supports to pour the floor and walls

  • Construct all joint bays in urban roadways.

Conclusion:

  • Client engaged ADK to construct the next items scheduled in Townsville to immediately follow on form the first group of jointing bays

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints.

  • Construction progress satisfied all client quality, WH&S and environmental requirements.

 

Contract: 132kV Trench Operations

Scope: Excavate & Construction 12 metres long joint bays to house 132kV Electrical Feeders.

Technical Speciality:

  • 1st operation of its type in queensland

  • Trench and install 6 x 125 electrical conduits and 1 x 50mm communication through urban roadways

  • Backfill trench with Thermal Conductive Grout

  • Tie all conduits in place during pouring operations of Thermal Conductive grout

  • Shore all sides of trench dus to ground water creating a high risk operation

Conclusion:

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints.

  • Construction progress satisfied all client quality, WH&S and environmental requirements.

 

Contract: Deep Creek Underbore

Scope: Install 250m of 250mm PN16 Poly pipe under creek ways.

Technical Speciality:

  • Polyweld PE100 pipe

  • Create safe access track to base of creek through steep decline

  • Pressure test pipe prior to installation under creek

  • Weld flange to either end of pipe for connection to mains

Conclusion:

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints.

  • Construction progress satisfied all client quality, WH&S and environmental requirements.

 

Contract: Red Peak Subdivisions Stage 8 to 14

Scope: Install water and subsoils within new subdivision

Technical Speciality:

  • Install 150mm and 100mm water main over 1.5 km of a hill with gradient over 30 degrees

  • Construct anchor blocks for every second pipe

  • Sanding of trench in congested roadway with steep gradient at sheer edge wall

  • Pressure test all water reticulations to satisfy necessary inspection reports

Conclusion:

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints

  • Construction progress satisfied required timeframes resulting in no loss of time for the client.

 

Contract: Collinsvale Sub Station Underbore

Scope: Install 250mm PN10 Electrical poly pipe under operating substation.

Technical Speciality:

  • Locate all existing underground cables in operating substation

  • Polyweld PE100 pipe

  • Create safe work operating zones when operating inside substation

Conclusion:

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints.

  • Construction progress satisfied all client quality, WH&S and environmental requirements.

 

Contract: Ocean Breeze Subdivisions Stage 1 & 2a

Scope: Install electrical, communication, water and subsoils within new subdivision

Technical Speciality:

  • Coordinate operations to flow with other contracted parties

  • Attend regular safety meetings to establish common goals for all contracted parties]

  • Pressure test all water reticulations to satisfy necessary inspection reports

Conclusion:

  • Zero work related injuries or client complaints

  • Construction progress satisfied required timeframes resulting in no loss of time for the client.

 

Contract: Thorn Street Subdivisions Stage 3 to 5

Scope: Install electrical, communication, water and subsoils within new subdivision

Technical Speciality:

  • Coordinate operations to flow with other contracted parties

  • Attend regular safety meetings to establish common goals for all contracted parties

  • Pressure test all water reticulations to satisfy necessary inspection reports

Conclusion:
